Professor André Santanchè will conclude his second term as director of the Exploratory Science Museum at Unicamp at the end of this year.
During the period in which he was director, the Museum established collaborations with several institutes, colleges and research centers, with the aim of disseminating, to the community, what is produced at the university in terms of knowledge, research and scientific dissemination experiences.
It is important to highlight the pandemic period, in which the Museum welcomed 10.796 participants to virtual events.
The last major events of his mandate were the “Great Challenge 2023” and “II MUPA – Museus da Unicamp de Portas Abertas”, which took place together in November, with more than 4 thousand participants.
“Scientific dissemination, which is the Museum’s main mission, still receives very little attention from universities. The experience at the Museum was an opportunity to explore possibilities of translating the richness of the University’s science to society”, said Prof. André Santanchè.
