This is so wrong.

Greg, as usual, is trying to rewrite history to pass his redesign of bitcoin as what it was always meant to be.  [But, sorry, no.  Satoshi did not intend to create a revolutionary currency, and bitcoin is no such thing.](https://np.reddit.com/r/bitcoin_uncensored/comments/582pr4/great_payment_network_or_revolutionary_currency/).  

As a *payment system*, Satoshi's design is technically brilliant, but a failure because of economic flaws. (And Greg's design is not even technically viable.) 

As a *currency*, bitcoin is an unmitigated failure: a good example of what a currency should **not** be.
