# No kidding. It seems that the new ~~owners~~ core devs have decided that "their" bitcoin network should become just the internal plumbing of their Lightning Network (which is not quite thought out yet, but they will soon find a way to make it work, don't worry). And the community seems to be just fine with that plan. The LN will not begin to work until most bitcoin users are doing all their payments through it. Letting the network saturate was their ingenious plan to force all bitcoiners to migrate to the LN. That is why they are so desperate to prevent a block size increase. So desperate that, unable to find technical arguments against that no-brainer routine maintenance decison, they are resorting to ad-hominem attacks on Gavin and Mike Hearn. Amirite?
