Apparently bitcoiners assume automatically that anyone who praises Bitcoin must be honest and competent. Andreas may not deserve blame for having joined Neo & Bee, but I think I am justified in not trusting his judgement about bitcoin things. And his "audit" of Coinbase only confirms that. An auditor must assume that the entity being audited is dishonest and will try to fool him. None of the "audits" of bitcoin solvency that I have seen described were done in that spirit; it always seemed to be a bitcoiner trying to help a fellow bitcoiner, for the good of bitcoin. People who value their reputation should not accept to "audit" something that they cannot really audit.
