Maybe that is why I am still confused about who are the heroes and who are the villains. ;)
WOW!!!! Seems like an admission that you may come around...
Sorry, not at all. Being a latecomer means that I may not know some relevant facts, but also that I do not have irrelevant sentiments. Take MtGOX for example. When I started looking into bitcoin, MtGOX was already delaying USD withdrawals, without good explanations. I naturally assumed that Mark was one of the Bad Guys in the movie; and I could not understand why so many people were furiously defending him. I suppose that they had sentimental attachment to the exchange that they had been using for several years, and which had become almost the Eiffel Tower of bitcoin. That "newcomers perspective" applies to several other aspects of the bitcoin phenomenon. Old timers may respect and trust certain prominent bitcoiners for what they did and said in the past. I can only respect them (or not) for what they do and say now. I think that is an advantage, not a liability... And, especially, I did not "grow up" believing that government is unmitigated evil and bitcoin is the Messiah that will free Man from it. Frankly, I cannot understand how anyone could believe those things either.
