The Software Engineering and Fault Tolerance Research Group is part of the Distributed Systems Laboratory (LSD) in the
Our main research focus is on object-orientation and fault tolerance,
aimed to the development of new methods and tools that can be applied to improve the
quality of software intensive systems.
We are specially concerned with those aspects related to dependability,
such as availability, reliability, and security, and our current research efforts can be
classified under the following areas:
Exception handling; Computational reflection; Software architecture; OO frameworks and design patterns; Software fault tolerance; Design diversity in software; |
Component-based development; Software development processes; Software engineering environemts; Fault tolerance of distributed systems; (Coordinated) atomic actions. |
