UDFlib for InterBase 6.0

Supported platforms

Linux 6.0 on RedHat
InterBase 6.0 beta 1.

This product will may not work correctly in version of InterBase less than 6.0

General Installation.....

1) Copy the udflib file from the /tmp/udflib directory to your /usr/local/interbase/UDF directory.

2) Copy udflib.sql and udfrem.sql scripts in the /tmp/udflib directory to a
safe directory for your use later.

3) Copy the help file (all in html format) to a safe directory for your
later use.

Specific Installation......

After completing the above steps you are now ready to install UDFlib into
one of your databases. To do this you run ISQL and connect to your database.
You then type into isql "in /path/to/udflib.sql" where udflib.sql is the
file that you saved in step 2 above and "/path/to" is the path to
udflib.sql.

Once the script has completed you are now ready to use the function from
UDFlib. Use your web browser to look at index.htm in the help files you
saved in step 3 above. You must do this procedure to each of your databases
that you want to use UDFlib functions with.

Should you want to remove the functions from your database, follow the
"specific insructions" listed above but run the script udfrem.sql instead of
udflib.sql.
