In the last episode we left our heroes facing a painful dilemma.
  Recall that we had proposed parsing each Voynichese word as 
  a concatenation  "QOKOK ... OKO"  where 

     the  Q  is "q" or empty,
    each  O  is zero, one, or two letters from the set A = { a o y }
    each  K  is exactly one string from the set

  It is very tempting to view the "O" strings as modifiers 
  of the adjacent "K"s.  But which way should the parsing go:
  "QO KO KO ... KO"  or  "Q OK OK ... OK O"?
