*Project Title* Shape Descriptors based on Skeletons *Project Description* Given a contour with N pixels, its internal skeleton is defined as the geometric location of the centers of maximal disks contained in the contour. This project aims at specifying and implementing shape descriptors based on IFT-based skeletons. Image Foresting Transform (IFT) is a recent approach to the design of image processing operators based on connectivity. The IFT reduces image partition problems based on a given seed set to the computation of a minimum-cost path forest in a directed graph. *Language/technology skills* C *Number of People* 1-2 *Project Resources* 1.
