Purpose
Cut a part of a text returning a copy of the deleted string.
Synopsis
function cuttext(txt:text, i1:integer, i2:integer):text
Arguments
txt

A text object
|
i1
|
Starting position of the region to cut
|
i2
|
End position of the region to cut
|
Return value
A copy of the region. The input text is modified accordingly.
Example
The following:
t:=text("abcdefgh")
writeln(cuttext(t,3,7))
writeln(t)
produces this output:
Further information
This function returns an empty text if the bounds are not
compatible with the string (e.g. starting position larger than the length
of the string) or inconsistent (e.g. starting position after end position).
